measuring

Came home to an empty house today. Then I heard some small voices outside and went out on the balcony to find Avery on a measuring adventure. I tried to get him to reenact measuring the fire hydrant after I ran and got my camera, but he did not want to participate. He did, however measure this detention vault cover. I'm not sure this is normal almost 4 year old behavior.
