june iphone dump

Avery eyes. Vivi toes. Tasting eachother's ring pop. Tattoos for potty training. Back to the ring pops. Driving around Whole Foods. Memo I got during a meeting. Swimming with best girl. Sidewalk picnic.

We coordinate our sprinkles with our outfits. Licking Liks. Designed and constructed by Avery. She always needs a sip of water when we wash her hands. Viva Las Vegas. Coloring in pattern. More patterns. Taking after Brother.

Love the tire pic. Waiting to cross. Following behind. Moving ahead. We love Romey! I love it when babies push their own shit.

Shopping for pillow cases. Dinner with friends. They'll never miss this. Soccer stud. Reading in her crib. Sharing a milkshake. Not sharing a milkshake. More organizing. Member of the original cast of Newsies. We love Nini.

Day at the lake. Forgot his suit. Pulling the kids. Water fight. Jumping babies.

Ice cream with friends. What happens when he doesn't have anyone to play Battleship with. Starbucks treat with mom. Waiting for their pedicures to dry. TV is bad for kids. This is not my left open Cheez-It box, fyi. Maybe we did have the ac turned up to high. The biggest blanket fort ever.

family indidocunite

Rahul tutoring the men in the techniques of Indian cooking. Scott will be sticking to nachos and fajitas.

Our attempt at a group shot.

Avery playing

Rome, Avery and Travis playing a rock throwing game.

Driving off

Love this shot of Viv

Right before dinner we gave the kids a bath (I have darling pics of the 'kid soup' but decided not to post them to protect their growing modesty) and after, Sister was cold, so Avery wrapped her in his towel.
Typically, Heather, Cheney, Jovina and I get together about once a month to eat Indian Food and watch documentary movies. There are also Italian Margaritas. It is a fabulous tradition. However, we thought it would be fun to get all of our families together along with a few other friends for a Family Indidocunite Extravaganza. The men would cook. The women would drink. The kids would play. It was fantastic. Not nearly as luxurious and relaxing as our typical Indidocunites, but it was a welcome change of pace. Plus, the food was amazing.

annabelle's dance recital

Oh, how I love Annabelle's dance recitals! I get so choked up watching the little girls up on stage. This time, while I was blubbering into a tissue, Scott Iten looks over at me and says, "You realize that Vivi is not up there?" Not yet, but she will be. Annabelle was darling as ever, and I am so very proud of her!

17 can wait

If I take only the briefest of glimpses at these pictures, I can see a 17 year old Vivienne peering out at me. Even on the hardest, most trying days, I do not want this time to go any faster. Even though the screaming, terrible 2s have entered our house, my sweet little girl is still here and I want to savor her being this little as much as I possibly can. 17 can wait.

great play

Avery claims that he likes Great Play MORE than soccer. Seriously, this kid's face lights up when we walk into the place. Great Play is a little kid gym in a strip mall, and I signed Avery up for 5 weeks this summer. It's not exactly my cup of tea as it is pretty corporate and all of the songs have 'Great Play' not so subliminally contained within them, but he loves it. It's active and the coaches seem to tolerate 15 screaming 4 year olds pretty well.

vegas, baby

What you don't see is the giant bloody mary that I was drinking. This was approximately 10am.

Hmm, I cannot begin to tell you how fabulous our ANNUAL trip to Las Vegas was. Amazing. It was relaxing. Fun. Gluttonous. Did I mention relaxing? Not having our schedule dictated by two charming children was the true luxury. Scott, Sarah and I have made this trip several times before and we keep going back. All of us love to gamble, drink and eat the same kinds of food and enjoy having an excuse to dress like high class hookers...even Scott :) I'm already dreaming of going back next year.

And, a huge thank you to Grandma Heidi and Papa Mel for watching the kids. I think they were in bed by 9pm each night.
