september iphone

For the win!

Youtube chess training. Naked crafts. Flying babies.

Awesome outdoor movie night. The babysitter. Rainy day drop off. Breakfast at school.

One of my favorites. "You're in my way." She wears those glasses...a lot. Tanquerita!

So much hard work - PASSED! The ridiculous amount of homework in kindergarten. Scott keeps losing his blue tooth, mine is under my desk. A new style - shirt tucked into undies.

Little helper. Child labor. Her toys are very well cared for.

Cleaning my co-worker's pool. Tent shadows. New friends. Porch swing.

Fairy tushy. Her majesty requires choices before dressing. Sleeping with Sammy. Waiting for brother.

My new favorite place.

Go blue! Cornhole on a Friday. Player. Peaceful evening.

Secret codes. Writing practice. She needs homework because brother has some. Construction equipment for Eli.

The roof is gone! That girl. She's featured on the school photography poster.

mountain wedding

We upgraded to the suite
It was nice to be just us for a weekend

Someone had to

I highly recommend Aspen in the fall

All dressed up
The wedding was slope side - amazing

It took a lot of will power for Scott not to unzip my dress all the way
Love this picture
Old school Outback
Scott's childhood friend, Marc got married in Snowmass and with a little juggling of childcare, we were able to make it. I cannot overstate how magical fall in the mountains is and when I get married again, that's where I plan on doing it.

elitches

One of the many super slow rides that went around in a circle that I tolerated because I love my son
The ferris wheel was his favorite

Mile High Stadium is the the background
There wasn't any other kids to crash into

I made him buy his own pretzel

He decided to use some of his tooth fairy money to play this game
He won a round penguin stuffy for himself and a lion for sister which she has taken to school each and every day since
Avery chose a ticket to Elitches for his summer ready program prize, so we chose a day and had a little mother/son date. The place was empty because it had been raining and flooding and more rain was expected that afternoon. It was perfect. The weather was cool and until 30 minutes before we left, we had the place to ourselves which made for a lackluster bumper car experience but the lines couldn't be beat.

boulder reservoir

OCD castle building

In my search to find acceptable bodies of water in the Denver area, the kids and I traveled to Boulder Reservoir for Labor Day since it was voted one of the top places to swim. So yeah, it's just a big gravel pit with water in it. The water was pretty clean, but the "sand" was very gravely (surprise, surprise) and not great for playing in. The kids didn't seem to mind and had some fun, but I think one time to this 'best of' place was enough and further emphasizes that Evergreen Lake is by far our favorite.

ved's 6th birthday

Wolf riding

Birthday boy
Herd of boys
All ready for the movie
Here ballet costume also functions as a party dress
Rome and Viv bellied up to the bar for some juice

The sixes are upon us! We celebrate Ved's 6th birthday with an IMAX movie and playing in the park. The plan was to play in the pop fountains after the movie, but they were not on that day. Truthfully, I'm happy they weren't because I totally forgot suits and towels and it is a long walk home. We are just thrilled to celebrate another one of Ved's birthdays and look forward to many more.
