january iphone

Sibling love. Reading together. I died a little. I provide a lot of soft back scratches...A LOT.

Manis. Light up shoes. Showering by herself after swim. Best thing I've ever received in the mail.

Procrastinating. Indidocunite girls. Livin' the dream.

Braces faces. He was patient during the install. About to jump. Floating.

Spin to win. Family night at the game. New hat (she won). New TV (did not win).

Starting the pretzels. Finished product. Wish Scott was home to clean up. This made me laugh.

Scott's in charge of coffee. Stacy hiking. All you need is love and a camo cast.

One hour before he broke his arm. 55 minutes before he broke his arm. Pokemon at dinner. What Viv did while we were at the hospital with Avery.

My poor bear. Waiting at urgent care. At Children's Hospital. More waiting. Heading back to the hospital for surgery.

Yup, definitely broken. Recovering after surgery. We had to cut him out of his shirt - he was devastated. Sleeping it off.

Getting x-rays.

Marriage. Spelling words. This was after a substantial fight.

ski school part 2

I can only imagine what she's saying to him

The Wasbo clan headed up to Eldora for another round of ski lessons and it is with great happiness that I announce that everyone did great and no post-lesson meltdowns were had. Viv remained on the little hill, but Avery moved up to the larger bunny hill. He even rode the chair lift 3 times. Most importantly, they had fun even though there was a blustery mountain wind ablowin'.

recently said

Vivienne: I want to name my Tigger, Olaf
Avery: You know, that movie is copywrited

Vivienne: If you're happy and alone, clap your hands. (clap, clap)

Vivienne on daylight savings: Why is this a so long bed time?

Vivienne at about 2am: My bed seriously feels too low.

Vivienne: Can you option me a few choices?

Avery: This is my second glass of water in like ten minutes
Me: Who are you, Daddy?
Avery: I don't spill.

Vivienne: I only grow animals in my belly.

Vivienne at Smashburger: I could punch everyone in the face this is so good.

During Christmas time at Target when all of the Christmas carols were playing, a man in the produce section asked Avery if he knew any songs, so Avery busts out, "Heeeeeeeyyyyy, sexy lady!"

Avery: Vivienne, nobody talks more than you. You exercise your mouth more than your body.

Vivienne had a drippy nose when she woke up so I told her that she could take some travel tissues to school. An hour later when we were leaving for school she asks, "Can I take those vacation tissues?"

Avery's teacher emailed me the following story: "Also, just had to share that last week your son shared his math strategy about how he solved the math problem by saying "I was born in a family of human calculators!"

My mom's friend after meeting Heidi and Mel: Well, your in-laws are a couple of characters, like right out of Seindfeld.

in the car

Viv and I usually have about 25 minutes in the car between picking her up and picking Avery up. I love this time with her even though it typically involves lots of button pushing and mild car destruction.

wedding dress

This might be more than my cold heart can handle. I've been wanting to have a photoshoot with Viv in my wedding dress for some time now, and today was the day. She LOVED wearing my dress, veil, and sparkly headband. Plus, we all know that these pictures will resurface when she gets married. Gulp.
