canvas and cocktails

For my birthday, Stacy treated me to Canvas and Cocktails (self explanatory) and luckily Cathryn joined us as well.

We had some wine and painted our hearts out...

I would say our work turned out great!

Okay, maybe this is more accurate.

Canvas and Cocktails was one of the most enjoyable evenings I've had in a while. It so much fun to drink, laugh and pretend I'm a good artist. I'm an architect. Straight, crisp lines are my friend, swirly, swhooshy, paint brushes are not. Regardless of the fact that my painting is now hanging in the laundry next to Scott's white water rafting photo and our old license plates, I would happily go back to stretch my artistic skills, especially if Cathryn and Stacy came along. Their pictures, by the way, were fabulous.
